Peyragudes is a real paradise for hikers. The trails offer a wide variety of landscapes, from panoramic ridges to high-altitude lakes and lush green forests. Not-to-be-missed routes include the ascent to Lac d’Oô, an emblematic site with a magnificent waterfall, or the hike to the Col de Peyresourde, which offers breathtaking views over the Louron valley. For families, there are a number of more accessible walks, such as the paths around the resort, where you can enjoy nature at its best.

Peyragudes is a popular destination for mountain biking, with several trails to suit all levels. Downhill enthusiasts can take advantage of specially prepared technical and fun trails. A mountain-biking school offers introductory lessons and courses to help you learn the basics or perfect your technique. In addition, the resort has a Bike Park with modules and routes suited to thrill-seeking riders. For those who prefer a gentler approach, there are electric mountain bike routes so you can explore the region without too much effort.

In addition to the Luchon-Superbagnères gondola lift, there are also lifts in Peyragudes where you can enjoy mountain biking:

  • At Les Agudes: the Lac chairlift (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 15/7 to 14/8, contact the resort for information on other days).
  • In Peyresourde: the Skyvall gondola lift (7 days a week from 5/7 to 31/8 as well as weekends in May, June, September, October and 1 and 2 November) and the Privilège chairlift (Tuesday to Thursday and weekends from 5/7 to 31/8).

a 335-metre cascading zip line

The resort of Peyragudes offers a 335-metre cascading zip line, divided into three successive sections, providing a thrilling experience. Located at the finish of the Skyvall gondola on the Peyresourde slope, this activity is open to children aged 10 and over and measuring at least 1.30 metres. Equipped with helmets and harnesses, participants can enjoy this thrilling descent several times a week in the late afternoon. Access is from the start of the Blanche Neige carpet, specially opened in pedestrian mode for the occasion.

Tour de France 2025

An explosive time trial between Loudenvielle and Peyragudes

The 13ᵉ stage of the 2025 Tour de France, scheduled for Friday 18 July, will feature a novel 11-kilometre individual time trial between Loudenvielle and the Peyragudes altiport in the Hautes-Pyrénées. After just two kilometres of flat ground to build up momentum, the riders will face the demanding ascent of the Col de Peyresourde, with average gradients of around 7.8%. This dry climb won’t allow any breaks, putting climbers and specialists in solo efforts to the test. The finish will be at the007 altiport of Peyragudes, known for its fearsome final hectometres that have marked previous editions of the Tour. This stage promises to be decisive for the overall classification, offering the favourites an opportunity to open up significant gaps.

Supervised by experienced instructors, tandem flights offer an incredible feeling of freedom, with panoramic views over the Louron valley, Lake Génos-Loudenvielle and the surrounding peaks.

Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a thrill-seeker, there are several options on offer: gentle flights to admire the scenery in complete tranquillity, or more dynamic flights with acrobatic manoeuvres for maximum adrenalin. Take-off is usually from the heights of the resort, offering a gradual climb before letting yourself be carried along by the updrafts.
