You can get around the Haut-Garonne Pyrenees by train, bus, car, bike or on foot. Trains run between Montréjeau – Gourdan-Polignan and Luchon. Lio buses cover the entire region. Cycling is easy and safe along the Transgarona trail from Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges. This trail links Toulouse to the Val d’Aran.

On foot, there are no limits to how far you can travel from one valley to another, apart of course from a few major reliefs…

Montréjeau - Gourdan-Polignan > Luchon

The train between Montréjeau – Gourdan-Polignan > Luchon, serves the stations of Loures – Barbazan, Saléchan – Siradan, Marignac – Saint-Béat, and Luchon. It can also be used to get to Toulouse Matabiau and Tarbes/Pau stations, depending on connections.

The train between Luchon > Montréjeau – Gourdan-Polignan, serves the stations of Marignac – Saint-Béat, Saléchan – Siradan, Loures – Barbazan, and Montréjeau – Gourdan-Polignan. It also provides connections to Toulouse Matabiau and Tarbes/Pau stations.

Lio buses

Once you’ve reached your destination in the Haut-Garonne Pyrenees, you can move easily between the various communes thanks to the Lio buses. From Gourdan-Polignan station to Luchon, or as far as the border at Les, Lio buses criss-cross the region and serve the various towns and stations.

Transport on Demand

The Communauté de Communes Pyrénées Haut Garonnaises is offering a Transport on Demand (TAD) service to make it easier for everyone to get around. Operating from Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays), it serves several areas, including Saint-Béatais, Haut Comminges and Luchonnais, particularly on market days. Journeys cost €2 one way and €4 return, and must be booked by 4pm the day before. This service makes it easy to get to shops, services and essential appointments.
