Founded in 2000 by Philippe Bourrillon, the Zanni Compagnie is a Toulouse-based theatre company inspired by Commedia dell’Arte. It favours accessible theatre, combining improvisation and textual work to stimulate the imagination and creativity. The company has already produced some thirty shows, ranging from clowning to Marivaux, from Pommerat to Chekhov, and from Molière to Lagarce. It also offers workshops and courses for all levels, in a friendly and demanding atmosphere.
This course is for anyone who wants to discover theatre as a tool for personal development and build their self-confidence. Through playful exercises focusing on the body, breathing, voice and emotions, participants will learn to reconnect with themselves, free their expression and develop their creativity. Improvisations, singing, dancing, text work and public speaking will be part of this immersive and caring week. Classes will take place in Garin, in the village hall or outside, depending on the conditions. Accommodation in a gîte in this Pyrenean hamlet at an altitude of 1,200 m, with walks on offer on some evenings. You can also relax at the Luchon thermal baths. Meals and brunches will be prepared together. A rich human and artistic experience, from 6 to 12 July 2025.
This improvisation workshop invites participants to develop their creativity, responsiveness and ability to adapt to the unexpected. Open to everyone, from beginners to experienced actors, it offers a playful approach based on acceptance, listening and letting go. Through a variety of exercises (physical, vocal, qi-gong, singing, verbal and non-verbal improvisations), participants will learn to break out of their automatisms and explore various registers, from the burlesque to the dramatic. Classes will take place in the village hall in Garin or outside, depending on the weather. Accommodation in a gîte in this mountain hamlet at an altitude of 1,200 m, with a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees. There will be walks at the end of the day and everyone can relax at the Luchon thermal baths. Meals will be prepared collectively. From 20/07/2025 to 26/07/2025 in Garin, near Luchon, take part in the improvisation workshop offered by the Zanni Compagnie. The programme includes body training, emotional work, character typologies and group improvisations, in an atmosphere that is both fun and demanding. Lodged in a mountain gîte at an altitude of 1,200 m, participants will enjoy an exceptional natural setting with views of the Pyrenees. At the end of the day, hikes will be offered to discover the surrounding lakes and peaks, and everyone will also be able to relax at the Luchon thermal baths.
