SAINT-BEAT-LEZ

MAIRIE

Saint-Béat-Lez is a village of 457 souls steeped in history, located at the foot of the Pyrenees, at the gateway to Spain and the Val d’Aran. It was created by the merger of the communes of Saint-Béat and Lez on 1 January 2019. For a long time a royal town, it was known as the “Key of France” and “Passus-Lupi” (passage of the wolf). Wedged between the Garonne and the mountains, it has a special charm that is enhanced by its wealth of marble, its cultural and religious heritage and the many activities on offer, particularly fishing.
