LES ÉTAGES DE LA MONTAGNE À SUPERBAGNÈRES

The mountains stand out against the horizon. They take on remarkable shapes and colours. These are linked to the layers of vegetation that have grown there over the years, linked to a specific fauna. Between 650m and 2071m, the forests opposite Superbagnères range from the lower to the sub-alpine levels.
From the sub-alpine level upwards, the forests gradually give way to moorland and grassland.
Scorching in summer and freezing in the depths of winter, the rocky environment is inhospitable to living organisms.
