The 13ᵉ and 14ᵉ stages of the 2025 Tour de France will showcase the Haut-Garonnais Pyrenees with demanding and spectacular routes.
Stage 13: Loudenvielle > Peyragudes (Friday 18 July 2025)
This 13ᵉ stage is an 11km individual time trial between Loudenvielle and Peyragudes. After just two kilometres of warm-up, the riders will face the ascent of the Col de Peyresourde, 8km at an average gradient of 7.9%, with some formidable sections, particularly on the approach to the Peyragudes altiport. This climb has already been the scene of memorable victories, including those of Alejandro Valverde in 2012, Romain Bardet in 2017 and Tadej Pogacar in 2022.
Stage 14: Pau > Luchon-Superbagnères (Saturday 19 July 2025)
The following day, the 14ᵉ stage stretches 183km between Pau and the resort of Luchon-Superbagnères. Considered one of the most difficult of this edition, it totals almost 5,000 metres of positive ascent. The riders will successively climb the Col du Tourmalet (19km at 7.4%), the Col d’Aspin (5km at 7.6%) and the Col de Peyresourde, before beginning the final ascent to Luchon-Superbagnères (12.4km at 7.5%).
These two stages promise an intense spectacle and will be decisive in the battle for the yellow jersey. Two exceptional stages that will attract a huge number of fans to the Tour’s roads. So to make the most of them, here’s some practical advice on how to organise your stay.
On Friday 18 July, all the spotlights will be on the Louron valley for an individual time trial stage that promises to be as spectacular as it is intense. From Loudenvielle, a charming village nestling at the foot of the Pyrenean giants, the riders will set off on a demanding course to thePeyragudes Altiport. A formidable final climb, a route designed for powerful climbers and specialists in solo efforts… This mountain stage is already shaping up to be a decisive turning point in the conquest of the Yellow Jersey. Between the lake, the thermal baths and the peaks, Loudenvielle offers an exceptional setting in which to vibrate to the rhythm of the Tour!
And as there’s only one step from one valley to the next, take advantage of the finish in Peyragudes to experience the next day’s stage from the top of the Luchon-Superbagnères resort.
To make it easier to get around during this exceptional stage, ski lifts will be operating on both sides of the resort. Prices and timetables available soon.
On Saturday 19 July, the 14th stage of the 2025 Tour de France will be one of the highlights of this year’s race: the finish at altitude in Luchon-Superbagnères, a legendary resort steeped in history. After a series of iconic mountain passes, the riders will have to master the fearsome slopes leading up to the summit, in an imposing setting facing the highest peaks in the Pyrenees. It’s a real test of the favourites’ mettle, where gaps can be opened up and ambitions confirmed. Luchon will be back in the saddle of the Tour’s great epic, for a day of emotion, fervour and the surpassing of one’s limits on a mountainside.
With thousands of spectators, Tour de France teams and media, traffic in the valley will be difficult on 18 and 19 July.
In fact, traffic will be virtually impossible in Luchon on that day.
We strongly advise you to plan ahead and organise your travel on that day. The train between Montréjeau – Gourdan-Polignan and Luchon will obviously be in great demand.
As for the heroes of the day, the bicycle will undoubtedly be the best mobility solution on the day.

On the occasion of the Tour de France stage in Luchon on Saturday 19 July 2025, a major regulated parking scheme will be put in place from Thursday 17 July to facilitate the organisation of the event and ensure the safety of participants and the public.
According to the official map issued by the town hall:
Zones will be closed to parking from Thursday 17 July at 2pm until Saturday 19 July at 11pm, notably around:
Avenue Jean Jaurès
Allées d’Étigny
Avenue Carnot
Parc Thermal car park
Other streets, mainly located on the routes used by the peloton or in the immediate vicinity of the finish area, will be closed to parking on 19 July only, with variable opening times from 5.00 am to 10.00 pm or 11.00 pm depending on the sector.
Restrictions are indicated on the map by specific colours and annotations (e.g. blue, orange, red).
To compensate for these restrictions, the local authority provides park-and-ride facilities at the entrance to the town, marked with a large “P” on the map:
A large car park to the west of the town, near the airfield.
A second near the Henri Pac hall.
A third upstream, near the hotel school.
These car parks will be easily accessible before the traffic cuts and will enable visitors to reach the town centre on foot.
On Saturday 19 July 2025, as the Tour de France passes through Luchon, a major traffic control system will be put in place throughout the town. As shown on the map above, several areas will be subject to traffic bans or restrictions to ensure the safety of the riders, spectators and staff involved.
➡️ The main roads in red (notably avenue Carnot, allées d’Étigny and part of the D125) will be completely closed to traffic from 5.00 am to 9.30 pm.
➡️ The finish area around the Parc Thermal (violet zone) will also be blocked off between 5.00am and 10.00pm.
➡️ However, a green zone around avenue Jean Jaurès will remain open between 6.00 am and 9.00 pm, allowing very limited access under certain conditions.
This exceptional arrangement means that you will need toplan your journeys ahead anduse the park-and-ride facilities, or better still: give preference to walking or cycling on the day.
