Held in the heart of the Pyrenees, in Luchon and the Luchon-Superbagnères ski area, Winter Pylot 2026 is set to be a winter outdoor event unlike any other in the region. From 11 to 14 February 2026, this festival, the only one of its kind in France, offers four free days dedicated to winter mountain sports: paragliding, skiing and ski touring. Designed as a highlight of the winter season in the Pyrenees, Winter Pylot will bring together enthusiasts, professionals and the curious in a natural, high-altitude setting, between a ski resort, a spa town and the great Pyrenean landscapes.
The Winter Pylot stands out for its immersive format, allowing visitors to test equipment in real conditions in the Pyrenees. In Luchon, the Casino hosts paragliding evenings featuring meetings with brands, conferences, discussions with experienced pilots and screenings of mountain films. At altitude, in the Superbagnères ski area, participants can try out downhill and cross-country skis directly on the slopes and dedicated itineraries, meet professionals and take part in friendly sporting events. This dual location between town and resort reinforces the event’s Pyrenean identity, highlighting both the region’s outdoor expertise and its accessibility.
More than just a sporting event, the Winter Pylot embodies a new outdoor dynamic in the Pyrenees, bringing together brands, enthusiasts and local players around a shared vision of the winter mountains. The successor to more than twenty-five years of paragliding events in Luchon, it illustrates the evolution of practices towards more cross-disciplinary experiences, combining gliding, flying and ski touring.
