Maison de santé de Luchon

Pays de Luchon health centre – Le sauvegarde

A new facility to improve the health of residents and visitors alike

From Monday 3 November, the Luchon valley will have a major new facility with the opening of the Maison de Santé “Le Sauvegarde“, located at 8 rue Albert Camus in Luchon. This modern 1,261 m² building, located on the site of the former cynodrome, marks the culmination of a project led by the Communauté de Communes Pyrénées Haut-Garonnaises in collaboration with local healthcare professionals. This 4.5 million euro investment demonstrates the determination of the local authorities to maintain and strengthen the health care offer in our valley, for the well-being of both residents and the many visitors who frequent our destination throughout the year.

Découvrir la Maison de Santé

A multidisciplinary team for comprehensive care

The new Maison de Santé brings together a team of qualified professionals in a structure designed to facilitate the coordination of care. Five GPs, including a sports doctor, as well as nurses and other practitioners, will be offering consultations in this unique and accessible location. A total of 48 members, including 28 health professionals, have given impetus to this structuring project. This local medical service considerably enhances the attractiveness of the area and reassures both residents and visitors of the quality of services available in the valley.

An asset for the destination's tourist appeal

For a spa and mountain resort like Luchon, having a modern medical infrastructure is a real asset when it comes to welcoming spa visitors, sports enthusiasts and holidaymakers. Whether they are mountain sports enthusiasts, hikers or people who have come to enjoy the benefits of the spa, they can all benefit from easy access to treatment in a functional and reassuring setting. The presence of a sports doctor in the team is a particular response to the specific needs of an active tourist clientele who ski, hike or mountain bike on our renowned itineraries.

A fast-growing health centre

The opening of the Maison de Santé is part of a wider dynamic of development in the area, with the recent establishment of the Imagerie Médicale du Luchonnais, equipped with ultrasound, X-ray and MRI scanners. This new district, which will also house a dialysis centre and housing, is a testament to Luchon’s dynamism and its ability to offer quality services.
