On 20 and 21 September 2025, Luchon will be transformed into the capital of classic cars with Luchon Passion Auto, the natural evolution of the success of Luchon American Car in 2023. Organised by the Association des Commerçants et Artisans du Pays de Luchon (ACAPL) in partnership with the municipality, this major event opens its doors to classic and exceptional vehicles of all makes. More than 250 cars are expected to take to the allées d’Étigny, which will be entirely private for the occasion, offering a prestigious setting in the heart of the Pyrenean spa resort.
Saturday 20 September kicks off at 10am with the arrival and display of the vehicles on the allée d’Étigny, carefully parked in a herringbone pattern with the help of volunteers and night-time security. The afternoon comes to life with the ACAPL attractions on the town hall forecourt: refreshments, music, tombola and the chance to discover the prestige vehicles for €5 in aid of the ELLE My Rose charity. A 20-metre hot-air balloon lift will be offering discovery flights in the Place Lézat, while Charlotte the groundhog will be wandering around the town. The evening is rounded off by a parade of Occitan folk groups (6-7pm), followed by the local troupe Sambalek, a concert by the group MT70 and fireworks at 11pm from the Place Lézat.
Sunday 21 September kicks off with interviews with vehicle owners by Radio ICI (formerly France Bleu), accompanied by musical entertainment provided by the town. After the draw for the raffle at 10.00am, the big moment arrives at 11.00am with the free procession of vehicles down the allée d’Étigny, then their majestic ascent to the plateau of Luchon-Superbagnères. This spectacular route, defined in agreement with the local authorities, allows the cars to climb the twists and turns leading up to the ski resort, offering a unique spectacle for spectators and drivers alike.
The climax of the event takes place on the Luchon-Superbagnères plateau from 12.00 noon, where the exceptional vehicles unfurl before an exceptional panorama of the Pyrenees. Participants can immortalise their cars in this grandiose natural setting, take advantage of the catering provided by the Better Call Flow food-truck, or take the Crémaillère Express gondola back down the mountain, which will be open all weekend. This convivial atmosphere at altitude, combining motoring passion and mountain beauty, continues until 3.30pm for the official closing of Luchon Passion Auto 2025, marking two days of celebration of motoring art in the heart of the Haut-Garonne Pyrenees.
