On Saturday 20 September 2025, Luchon will play host to “Gravel Gourmand”, an original event organised by La Patatas Bravas that puts a new spin on mountain biking. The event offers an original approach to gravel cycling, with three routes to suit all levels: a 13km menu du jour for beginners, a 36km entrée-plat route for experienced cyclists, and an 80km entrée-plat-dessert challenge stretching all the way to Spain for the more adventurous. The emphasis of the event is on discovering the paths, country roads and singles of the Pyrenees.
“Gravel Gourmand” stands out for its “no stopwatch” concept, with the emphasis on adventure in total autonomy rather than pure performance. Participants discover the region off the beaten track, in a calm and stress-free environment, far removed from the hustle and bustle of traditional competitions. This approach allows them to fully appreciate the exceptional landscapes of our region, following secret and authentic routes. The event promotes the discovery of the natural heritage of the Pyrenees through carefully mapped routes that reveal the most beautiful corners of the region.

Registration costs 28 euros (free for under-15s) and includes a complete package: GPX track supplied 24 hours before the event, welcome drink, welcome gift, refreshments at the finish, and above all a convivial local meal featuring regional specialities such as black Louron pork and the famous patatas.
