The Planning Familial du Comminges invites you to a meeting with the authors and illustrator of the comic strip Ras le Viol, Esther Meunier and Léa Castor.
Ras le viol answers a cruel but real question: how can we reduce sexual violence?
In our daily lives, in the news, in our personal and even professional discussions… they are everywhere. Victims and feminists are struggling to fight against rape culture and incest culture, against the omerta, against impunity. And yet, there is still a widespread feeling of powerlessness: the justice system seems ineffective and society has not come up with a valid response to this problem, which is a matter of public health.
So Esther Meunier (journalist) and Léa Castor (comic strip author and illustrator) decided to join forces to investigate the problem and put forward possible solutions in drawings. Their slightly crazy objective: to get as many people thinking as possible so that we can collectively do better against sexual violence.
Because they are convinced that sexual violence is not inevitable, Esther and Léa have designed this comic book as a gateway to the social issues raised by sexual violence and a window on the hope of curbing it.
It promises to be a meeting of minds.
It promises to be a highly rewarding encounter, so tell everyone about it!
