Deep in the heart of Texas, some locals make a macabre discovery: their cemetery has just been desecrated and the corpses displayed as trophies. Meanwhile, five friends are travelling through the region in a minibus. They come across a hitchhiker on the way and decide to pick him up. But when the young men realise that the hitchhiker is behaving in a worrying and threatening manner, they end up getting rid of him. Soon out of petrol, the group decide to visit an old abandoned house belonging to the grandparents of two of them. The five friends take it in turns to be drawn to the house next door. The encounter with its strange inhabitants will prove fatal for them.
