We’ll set off early in the morning, to make the most of these two days of walking, sharing and observing in the mountains. We’ll be rediscovering the joys and silences of mountain solitude.
Two days of hiking, mainly off-piste, for good walkers with good mountain feet. A chance to rediscover an intimate mountain, a mountain that will tell us its secrets and welcome us back.
We’ll be coming face to face with the wild fauna of the Pyrenees, learning to be opportunists, finding a trail, deciphering animal behaviour, looking for signs of presence and above all seizing the moment…
We’ll be carrying all the loads for the day and we’ll be carrying the loads for the night.
We provide all the portages for the technical logistics and the food supplies. You will only need to carry your personal belongings. (If you are in Luchon a few days before the start of the tour, we can fit your own equipment for you.
Day 1:
We’ll set off for a small mountain range close to Luchon, but one that has managed to retain all its authenticity. We’ll pass through authentic Pyrenean forests. It’s through this beautiful forest that we’ll gain height, to fully appreciate the nooks and crannies of this magical place. We’ll cross a pretty border overlooking the forests and valleys of the Luchon. Throughout the day, we’ll enjoy this unspoilt landscape as we make our way to our hut.
The hut will be our base camp, and we’ll work in a star formation around this central point.
Observations at sunset, wood fire for the evening.
We’ll make the most of these magical moments before returning to the hut for lunch, repacking our bags and making our way quietly back down to man’s country…
Then it’s time for the evening meal.
Then it will be time to leave and return home with our senses full of good memories…
We’ll be providing various observation tools: spotting scopes, binoculars… feel free to bring your cameras and personal equipment!
