JURVIELLE

MAIRIE

At an altitude of 1,300 m, Jurvielle is the highest village in the Larboust valley, and boasts a population of 21, the church of Saint-Christophe, built in the late Middle Ages and listed as a Historic Monument, and one of the few water mills still in operation.
The summits of Pouy Loubi (2091 m), Pic de l’Agle (2054 m) and Pouyaue (2062 m) and the Cabane de Conques attract families and hikers alike, who can also visit an old “Hortensia” marble quarry. The Pasejade waymarked footpath is on the Larboust circuit and crosses our region. A path known as the “liberty path” in memory of the escapes during the last war passes through our area from the Vallée d’Oueil to the Vallée d’Oô.
