In Haute-Garonne, coming from Lannemezan, you enter via Saint-Bertrand de Comminges and then Saint-Gaudens. You then continue from Roquefort-sur-Garonne towards the Salat valley to reach the Ariège (Saint-Girons). This is a pleasant route, often on its own right of way, with magnificent scenery.
