SNOWSHOES – THE HUT AT THE END OF THE WOOD

An ideal walk for a first snowshoeing experience or a friendly outing, with the reward of a typical hut nestling “at the end of the wood”. Departing from Peyragudes resort on the Agudes slope, this snowshoe trail invites you to gradually immerse yourself in the winter mountains. The trail rises gently through a dense forest of beech and fir trees.

Description

After crossing the forest, the path leads to a clearing where you will find the Cabane du Bout du Bois. Located on the edge of the forest, it marks the transition between the forest and the more open space of the snow-covered mountain pastures. It’s an ideal spot for a contemplative break or a picnic.
This route is short, accessible and very popular with families and beginners alike who want to discover snowshoe trekking in a safe setting, while enjoying an authentic, wild atmosphere.
