This cross-country hike along the crests will give you superb views of the Luchonnais 3000. Without doubt one of the most beautiful stages of the GR10!
Starting from the Superbagnères plateau, follow the GR10 signs towards the crests. After crossing 2 passes, you will reach the Col d’Espingo and the guarded Espingo refuge.
Or continue your descent towards Lac d’Oô and then Les Granges d’Astau (+2h30).
Please note that this hike has a negative altitude difference of 1460 metres.
The location of the Espingo refuge makes it ideal for exploring the mountain environment. Bordered by the Lacs d’Espingo and de Saoussat, it is the scene of many a mountaineer, angler, hiker and nature lover…

Refuge on the edge of Lac d’Oô. After around 1 hour’s walk, you’ll reach one of the most beautiful sites in Occitanie, with its majestic 275m waterfall. Catering and accommodation (half-board) are available on reservation.
Snack bar. Refreshment bar, ice cream and desserts. The refuge has room for 25 people (on the first floor), with 5 rooms for 2 people, 2 rooms for 1 person and 2 dormitories for 6. Shared shower room and toilet.
