2HHM+57 VALCABREREThe ascent of the Col du Portillon among the fir trees will not leave you unmoved. This is a 1st category pass (average % 6.8 – maximum % 8.2).
From Marignac station, turn left towards Saint-Béat-Lez and then Spain to reach the foot of the Col du Portillon just outside Bossost. At the top, you descend towards Luchon and then return to Marignac via the D 125C and then the D 125.
Every bend on the ascent of the Col du Portillon is a tribute to one of the Spanish winners of the Tour de France, right up to the stele recounting those victories. The view is well worth a contemplative stop.

La Gentilhommière est toujours en travaux, le restaurant l’Annexe a ouvert en remplacement temporaire situé sur l’arrière du site à 100 mètres du gîte. Le 1/2 pension est proposée aux clients du gîte et à la clientèle extérieure.
