CHAPELLE SAINT-PÉ LA MORAINE
Edified in the 10th and 11th centuries. The main interest of the Saint-Pé la Moraine chapel lies not in its architecture, however, but in its exceptional decoration (sculptures, reuse…).
GARINTrail accessible in winter.
From the Moraine de Garin, head for Portet-de-Luchon, the last village before the Col de Peyresourde, and then on to Jurvielle, Poubeau and Cathervielle, typical neighbouring villages in this valley. Admire the pretty site of the Moraine de Garin. Beware, there are very few shady spots!
Leave from the Moraine de Garin car park along the D618 to Portet-de-Luchon. Turn left before the church and follow signs for Jurvielle. Follow signposting no. 44 through the village towards Labach de Cathervielle. Follow the road down to the village of Cathervielle, cross the D76 to reach the Moraine de Garin.
