This walk takes you through the Frèche valley, away from the busy Port de Vénasque.
Start in front of the Auberge de l’Hospice de France and follow the wide track towards the Cabane de Pesson. At the junction with Fontaine Rouge, continue straight ahead. At the hut, go deeper into the valley. The slope becomes steeper, then you reach the ponds.
