21 – THE LION’S PEAK

Road closed from 30/11 to 15/04, path inaccessible.
A beautiful walk starting from the Port de Balès. You will pass by the Bordères lake and then climb to the Pic du Lion, the high point of the day. This itinerary will take you along the GR de Pays Oueil-Larboust, a total length of 43km.

Description

From the Port de Balès, take the path 50 m before the pass, which will take you to the Port de Pierrefitte via a track and then to the Lac de Bordères via a footpath. At the lake, follow the path up to the left, marked in yellow and red (herds of cattle with patou).
Please note that dogs are not allowed in the Massif du Montious reserve.
