2 – THE ANTENAC RIDGES

Starting from Mayrègne, this panoramic loop leads to the summit of Antenac before descending over the ridges towards Saint-Paul-d’Oueil. It’s a wild and varied route, alternating between peaceful forests, high-altitude meadows and open ridges. Throughout the loop, the views over the Oueil valley and the surrounding mountain pastures never cease to unfold.

Description

From the first few metres, the path rises up in a pastoral environment.
The atmosphere becomes wilder as you reach the ridges leading to the summit of Antenac. At the top, there’s a breathtaking view over the Oueil valley, the port of Balès and the Luchonnais peaks.
Following the ridge route, the landscape becomes undeniably open and luminous before the gentle descent to Saint Paul d’Oueil begins.
