A charming stone and slate mountain gîte at the gateway to Bagnères-de-Luchon in the central Pyrenees with breathtaking views of the Pyrenean peaks
Exceptional views from the first floor, over the highest peaks in the Pyrenees, those of the Haute-Garonne department! Located in the small hamlet of Montmajou and close to ski resorts (Superbagnères, Peyragudes, le Mourtis). There’s plenty to do in the area, ideal for nature lovers. Fishing (in the Pique and Garonne rivers), rafting, canyoning, paragliding, mountain biking. Cycling in the legendary Pyrenean passes (Mente, Portillon, Peyresourdes, Balès). Lac de Géry (swimming, pedalos, mini-golf…), riding centre. Val d’Aran wildlife park (Spain). Adventure trail (Cierp-gaud). Visit Bagnères de Luchon with its thermal baths, which have the only natural hammam in Europe. All shops within 15 minutes of Luchon, with a lovely farmers’ market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Saint Bertrand de Comminges, a medieval town, was voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. The gîte is located in the main street of a very quiet hamlet 1km from Cier-de-Luchon. Parking on the square or in the reserved car park next to the house. Easy access via a few steps. Ground floor: 2 bedrooms: one with 1 140cm bed, the other with 2 90cm beds where the thickness of the walls will keep cool in summer. 1 shower room with walk-in shower. 1 separate toilet with washbasin. Upstairs: large, bright living room with sitting area, fireplace and Wi-Fi access. Fully equipped open-plan kitchen opening onto the living room, dining room opening onto a large south-facing balcony via large picture windows. Air conditioning on the first floor (reversible)
