Independent gîte in Castillon, a complete change of scenery for nature lovers!
Nestling in the middle of the forest and surrounded by the Pic du Gar on one side and the Pic du Burat on the other, this old farmhouse has been completely renovated and is ideal for forest walks and fishing with family or friends. In season, you can often hear the stags bellowing and see the hinds… The owners, who are passionate about the mountains and fishing and live on the same property (but not adjoining), can suggest walks to suit your tastes! From the windows of the house, you can admire the owners’ Merens horses in the surrounding meadows. Pets not allowed. There are plenty of things to do nearby: skiing and mountain activities at the family-friendly resort of Le Mourtis, the Pyrénées-Hô tree-climbing park, the Fronsac water sports centre… or visit the region: the village of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, the town of Saint-Béat, famous for its white marble quarries, Spain via the Val d’Aran… Ball-trap activity on Saturday afternoons 500m away. Access to the gîte is along a narrow path 1.5km long. On the ground floor of the gîte: entrance after two steps, fitted kitchen (integrated oven, 3-burner ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, microwave), living room with dining area and sitting area, bedroom with small shower room and separate WC inside the bedroom (1 double bed 160*200cm). Upstairs: shower room with large shower and twin basins, separate WC, 2 bedrooms each with 1 double bed (160*200cm) and 1 single bed (90*190cm). Garden area. Parking space. Electric heating.
