Author and director Judith Thiébaut came up with the idea for this play during the covid crisis, after listening to the radio testimony

of a care assistant. As you walk through the streets, you’ll share a piece of the road with Nadine, listening to the confidences of this “first of chores”.
For 25 years, she has worked in a retirement home. On this day, it seems she has things to tell you. This play subtly questions the status of these “invisible” yet indispensable people. Nadine, with her outspokenness and sharp sense of humour, embodies the idea that “no life is worth less than another”. So, with her, let’s celebrate those who matter… or have mattered.

La Fugue. In 2013, Judith Thiébaut took over the artistic direction of the Company and Thérèse Bosc, actress and musician joined the team for the show Sorcières. Judith Thiébaut, who began training in playwriting in 2009 and has always been interested in contemporary texts, decided to take the company in a new direction in 2014, mounting Carole Fréchette’s La peau d’Elisa and adapting it for the public space.
In 2016, keen to continue their exploration of folk tales and strengthened by this experience with a contemporary text,
Fred Espitalier and Judith Thiessen decided to work together on a new project.
Fred Espitalier and Judith Thiébaut chose to create a contemporary street version of the famous tale of Cinderella. In 2024, the company embarked on writing a new project whose working title is Fragment(s), which will be released in spring 2027.
